Pricing and fees

Paid and free listings, the three fee rates and how they are applied to each payment.

Fee rates

The fee is a percentage of every subscription payment. Which percentage applies depends on how the buyer arrived.

  • Your own link is peakstone.app/r/your-name. It is remembered for 30 days in the buyer's browser.
  • Founding authors are the first 10 approved authors. 9 of 10 spots are left. They keep the founding rate on marketplace sales for as long as their plugins stay listed.

The fee calculator on the fees page works out what reaches your Stripe account for your price and your number of paying servers.

How the fee is taken

Checkout is created on your Stripe account as a direct charge, so you are the seller of record. Peakstone's share is a Stripe application fee, taken at the moment the buyer pays. Stripe pays the rest to you on your normal payout schedule and charges its own processing fees to you.

The rate is fixed when the subscription starts and stays the same for every renewal. The fee is calculated on each payment and rounded down to the cent, the way Stripe rounds an application fee percentage.

What is never charged

There is no listing fee, no monthly fee and no payout fee. Free listings cost nothing.

Refunds and changes

  • When a payment is refunded, the same share of the fee on that payment is refunded to you automatically.
  • Buyers ask for refunds by email. Peakstone forwards the request to you and you have 72 hours to answer. If you do not, Peakstone refunds that subscription's most recent payment from your Stripe account.
  • Fee changes come with at least 30 days' notice, and a subscription keeps the rate it started with.
