Getting started as an author

Connect GitHub, set up your profile, connect Stripe, list a plugin and get it reviewed.

Selling on Peakstone takes a GitHub account, a Stripe account and a plugin. Buyers subscribe to your prices on your own Stripe account, so you are the seller and your payouts work the way they already do. The steps below are the same ones the checklist on your dashboard walks you through.

Connect GitHub

Open Start selling and connect GitHub. It is required: Peakstone only takes listings from authors with a verified GitHub account, so a real developer stands behind every plugin.

  • Peakstone reads your public profile and verified email. It never posts for you and never touches your repositories.
  • The connected GitHub account is the profile buyers and reviewers see. It cannot be typed in, swapped or unlinked afterwards.
  • Writes on the author side (listings, uploads, prices) need a linked GitHub account, and the server enforces it.

Set up your profile

Choose a display name and a profile address. Your author profile exists as soon as you save it, and you can create listings right away. Nothing you create is public yet.

Connect Stripe

From your dashboard, approve Peakstone on the Stripe account you already use. This is Stripe Connect with a Standard account: Peakstone never holds your money and never sees your payout details, and you can disconnect it from your Stripe dashboard at any time.

Free listings do not need Stripe at all. If you only publish free plugins you can skip this step.

Create a listing

Start with a name, a one-line tagline of at least 10 characters and a category. The listing begins as a draft that only you can see. The editor has five tabs:

TabWhat it holds
DetailsName, tagline, description, links (including your docs) and the refund policy.
PricingWhether the listing is paid or free, and for paid ones the recurring prices you import from Stripe.
MediaScreenshots and the icon.
ReleasesOptional jar uploads, each with a version.
ReviewThe checklist of what is still missing before you can submit.

Prices are imported from your Stripe account: pick the monthly or yearly recurring prices you want to list. There are no new products to create and nothing to copy by hand.

You can also fill in the name, tagline, description and links from a plugin you already publish on Modrinth. Everything stays editable and nothing is published by the import.

Submit for review

The Review tab lists what is missing. When it is complete, submit the listing. A person on the Peakstone team checks every listing before it goes live, and every jar you upload as well. If they want changes, the dashboard shows their note.

Listings and review has the checklist and what reviewers look at. Jar uploads are covered in Releases and the jar scanner.
